At the Henrik beer bar in Bergen.
The beer pours a viscous, blackish brown color with fair head retention and very light lacing. This has the look of a beer that has seen considerable barrel aging. On the nose I'm picking up considerable bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate, light maple syrup and dark fruits. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, but is a bit sweeter than I was hoping for. Mouthfeel is fairly full, with a long, smooth and sweet finish. Alcohol is pretty well integrated into the flavor profile, though you can tell it's up there a bit.
This is a fine effort from this new to me brewery, though a little bit goes a long way. This came in a 375 ml bottle, and frankly it was a bit of a chore even drinking that much. Not sure this is something I'd want to order again any time soon.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
