Pour is a light black, with bright mahogany patches that arent hard to procure. theyre just kind of there. The smell is a bit meager, hints of powdered dark chocolate and a touch of roasted barley.
Now the taste saves everything. Its exactly what I pictured Young's Double Chocolate Stout to be. Powdered dark chocolate really dominates everything here. The awesome part is that the roasted malts come through nicely. Bittersweet dark chocolate and malt. Kind of simple, yet really good. Actually beats out their other stout.
