The brown ale was called East Bay Brown the day I tried it, but what's in a name anyway. It poured a dark brown color with a thin head that quickly moved to the rim of the glass. This reminded me of a "light" brown ale, since the mouthfeel of this was slighlty thinner than a Newcastle, but it had a maltier flavor. Some of the maltiness lingered on the tongue for while. The aroma was faintly there, a slight sweetness is the only way I can describe it. I found this to be quite drinkable, but not overly exciting.
