Originally reviewed November 21, 2006. On tap at the brewpub. Oranged amber pour, with a creamy ring of off-white. Aroma is a light wisp of malt, typical of a pub pour. Flavor is a wick of lightly toasted baguette, with touches of almond oil, peanut husks and grain sugar. Not an overwhelming amount of complexity, but ridiculously drinkable! Nice body for a mild, not overwhelmingly cloying, nor immeadiately thin, creating that perfect quenching quality. Distant malt notes pipe up from the background, before fading into a long, crisp mineral smack of hops. Nicely done.
