So I was out with a bunch of friends for the Twins vs Brewers series. Most of whoem have no desire for craft beer. This beer seemed to go over the best with the crowd. So in that sense it is an ok dark beer that is easily drinkable. However this beer lacked a true uniquiness and really did not stand out at all. Its aroma and taste were about what you would expect from this style of beer. But it seemed to lack a real unique quality that usually makes or breaks a beer like this.

Had this at the Between the Bluffs beer fest. Had great expectatioins and a serious let-down. Don't know why they put this out there. Looked great with a very nice thick foamy frothy head on a very dark brown, almost opaque color beer. Over the top of the roasty chocolate nose dominated the diacetyl/butterscotch. Flavor was same but undrinkable; had to dump it. Bleh.
