Brewed with cold-pressed coffee from our friends at Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co., Snake Oil Nitro Stout is smooth on the palate, with a balanced dark finish.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from the Woodman's in Onalaska, Wisconsin just outside of La Crosse. It poured an opaque dark with thin tan head that is not leaving any lace. The scent has chocolate roast malt base. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet dark malt base and subtle vanilla and chocolate presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had velvet carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Coffee / chocolate with slight bitter, slight sweet but overall well balanced. Feels more like a 'lite' stout...nice sipping beer.

16oz nitro can, no apparent freshness date. Thanks to Ken for giving me a can to try. Tight tan nitro head caps a cola colored stout. Aroma is coffee, roast, and chocolate. Mocha latte flavors of chocolate, coffee, cream, roasted barley, and modest earthy hops. Full creamy and smooth body, soft nitro carbonation, balanced finish. Thid is one of the better ones I've had from this brewery.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with the smallest of light brown head. Smells of coffee with just a hint of fruitiness. Tastes of coffee and chocolate, but a bit watery. Beer is medium to full bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, a good beer.
