Pours a very dark brown color along with a bit of light copper coloring around the edges when it's held up to the light. Starts out with a pretty massive three-finger head but falls down to a quarter finger after not too long without leaving behind too much lacing. Nose is a bit of light roasted malt with a light German yeast character. Really light yeast with a tiny bit of clove and not all that much else. A few slight medicinal notes.

The taste brings a bit of roasted character along with some very light clove and banana. It started out a bit dark for the style and the flavor confirms that there is quite a bit too much roasted malt. There is a bit of wet cardboard in the taste as well. The roast totally takes over a rather thin body with low carbonation. Some light chocolate notes are there as well.

This is one really strange dunkelweizen. It's quite heavy and goes overly forward with the roasted malt and doesn't emphasize the yeast all that much. Unusual design and not particularly well done.

Hazy, dark brown in color, it produces a nice tan head, showing average retention and lacing.
aroma is quite sweet, with yeasty notes, banana, candy, bubblegum, clove, some fruit hints.
Medium bodied, not as sweet as expected, actually quite good.
Yeasty notes, strong maltiness, mostly sweet but never cloying. Quite clean and pleasant taste, very easy to drink.
Quite a nice surprise.

12 oz bottle poured into a Sprecher weiss glass. No date or info.

A - Cloudy dark brown beer pours from the interestingly designed bottle. A quick-rising light tan head forms to about three fingers before receding to a thin, dense pile. Surprisingly, no lace is left behind.

S - Hazy, overly yeasty nose of straight German yeast seems just a touch overbearing at first. Clove esters are very strong with a little dirt added in and banana and bubblegum characteristics faintly in the background. The dunkel malt is noticeable darker in aroma with a little wheat toast aroma going on.

T - The big yeast profile the nose offers carries over to the flavor as well but becomes much more balanced. Sharp, spicy clove interacts nicely with soft but ripe banana as a sprinkle of earthy dirt transitions to the malt flavor. A good backing of hearty wheat and toasted malts holds this great dunkel together.

M - A soft, supple entry leads into a creamy and smooth mouthfeel with a spicy, refreshing finish. Dunkel is medium-bodied and packed full of flavor.

D - This dunkelweiss took me by surprise to say the least! It's very flavorful and has a perfect mouthfeel going on. It's definitely one of Milwaukee Brewing's best beers. A bit medium-bodied and rich for a good summer drinking beer, but still a good refresher nonetheless.

Pours a dark cola color with a dirty grey/brown head. It isn't the best looking dunkelweizen.

They did good on the smell though, thick banana, tons of clovey spice, smells very fresh and malty.

The taste is a bit of a letdown, the mouthfeel is extremely thin and watery. The malts are definitely the focus here, it tastes like raw malt though, not sweet fermented malt.

This beer is just too watery.
