750ml bottle poured with standard vigor yields three fingers of pale brown head that faded after 2 minutes or so. lacing is good, followed down for most of the glass.
Smell is malt heavy. No barrel at all, slight metallic scent, like a penny. Something off here.
Taste is sweet and cloying. No barrel noticeable, even at room temp. It claims a blend of straight porter and BBA porter, maybe the BBA was no good so they blended to fix it?
Mouth feel is very thin. Low carb and flat on the tongue.
Overall - Gave it a shot cause I'm a sucker for BBA. Swing and a miss.
