Since I currently live in Northern Vermont, I can't make it down this way to Rutland too often to check out what they got on a weekly basis but the couple times I have been here, I'd say it's probably your best bet in the Rutland area, either this or Beer King. Prices are reasonable. Beer selection has all of the normal offerings all around the state of Vermont, service is good.

Quite simply the place to buy beer in Central Vermont. I live in the area and this is my beer store. The owners are two brothers who have done a lot in the past few years to make this place a legitimate peddler of fine craft beers. The selection is not the greatest that you'll ever find, but it is the best in Central VT. Another thing to note is that the prices are not unreasonable. Bobby (one of the owners) will take your requests and do his best to get it in stock. He has done this for me a few times. They carry all of the VT beers, including McNeills, as well as staples like Rogue, Stone, and Victory.

My friend and I stopped by here to pick up a couple beers to have after a long day of skiing, and weren't disappointed. While not the largest selection, there were three cooler doors devoted to cold craft/import beer, as well as a nice wine-style display of all their 750s. Good showings from McNeill's and Rock Art, with multiple bombers from each going for under $4. Low prices (at least compared to CT) were the norm here, as I picked up a bomber of McNeill's Warlord DIPA and a 750 of Chimay Red for 12 bucks - not bad at all. Definitely give this place a look if you're in the area.

Cheers!
