Again I don't know why my previous post was deleted. Poured an opague black with a very thick coffee colored heading that stayed put throughout my tasting. Left some very nice ringage.

Smell was very boozy at first and kind vanilla bean aroma pulled through towards the end.Hints of wood were apparent as well.

Taste and Mouth was very boozy at first a nice whiskey bite scorches the palate followed by a creamy vanilla that quickly replaces the burning. Full bodied with very nice retention. Smooth texture and finishes a bit gritty.

Drink is good was a bit heavy at first but once you get past that intitial burn from the whiskey this turns out to be a very good beer.

Draft Pours a deep black with a small tan head. Has good aromas of roasted malts, alcohol, coffee, and some fruits. Has a good blend of flavors. A solid finish and a thick texture. This is a pretty good drinking porter. Has a heavier body than most but it works for this one. I liked this one a lot, well done.

Nice dark porter poured from tap with a frothy head. Awesome mix of vanilla and a slight hint of the whiskey. Easy drinking, refreshing porter, I had requested to purchase a growler of this fine brew, when Larry told me he's not selling growlers at the time because of the shortage of hops. So I'll have to go back again. This beer pairs well with Larry's Broiled Oyster Appitizer...beer and oysters...what could be better?

Appears a dark brown with a dark tan head that slowly fades out into a pillowy cap. Solid streaks of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of sweet raisins, brown sugar, maple syrup, bourbon, oak, vanilla, and perhaps some yeastiness. I didn't get much of the smokiness at all in the aroma but it was very nice nonetheless.
Taste is of the same aromas with a nice, chewy cocoa flavor that slowly comes out as it warms to compliment the raisin and caramel flavors.
Mouthfeel is chewy, medium bodied, along with a bourbon & oak overtone running along the palate like cola.
Overall, not bad. I would be proud if I brewed this beer and it turned out this well.
