A crystal-clear copper body is capped by a short head of creamy off-white foam that holds well before dropping to an average collar that leaves some minor, spotty lace.
The nose is clean with some 'juicy' malt and some spicy and floral hops.
The malty, medium body is lightly creamy in the mouth with a fine-bubbled, restrained carbonation.
It's richly malty without being too full (and filling!), or overwhelming to the palate. The malt is slightly toasty, and 'juicy' like a Vienna lager. Light accents of floral and spicy hops liven it; and it's perfectly balanced by a moderate bitterness (17 IBU's?).
It's remarkably drinkable, and it pairs well with bready, cheesy, and lightly vinegar-touched dishes. Nicely done!

Pours a super clean copper amber bubble-less (is that a word?) pint pour with a 1/2 " foam that settles to a collar.

Subdued aromatics to a sensory deprevation in the expansive room.

First swigs: Biscuit malts blend with some slight rootbeer aspects. Respectable mailbock overall that incorporates a slight orange juice (not citrous) note. Even in the finish some delicate orange juice peeks out with buttered toast kick.

Mouthfeel is medium and super clean!

Drinkability is clean with a sitch of butter pecan ice cream.

BETTER WHEN WARMED UP!!!

Deep amber in color, just a film of head. Quite viscous in the pour.
Smells of rich, toasted malts with a spicy, German hoppiness. The alcohol is evident if you take a deep enough breath.
Tastes of rich, caramel malt. Candy sweet but nicely spicy as well. Finishes quite bitter - much more than I expected. It caught me off guard... as did the alcohol. Coming in at around 7%, tasty stuff like this really packs a punch before you realize what you've done to yourself.
Mouth is full, viscous and chewy. Spritzy carbonation keeps the tongue awake. The ABV is slightly noticeable but it's tasty enough to look past that shortcoming. Good stuff from The Dude.

I was surprised to see the Maibock on tap on Belmont Stakes day but it was a really good example of the style. It poured a light caramel color with a medium head. The aroma was of caramel and malt with some added spiciness at the end. It was a great tasting Mai Bock. This is not my favorite style so I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. It tasted primarily of sweet malt with a little bite of hops in the background to balance the sweetness. It feels great in the mouth from first drop to last and during the next one or two as well.
