Johnny Cool's Cream Ale might not satify the deepest desires of the beer connoiseur, but it does slake the thirst of the masses. Its crystal clear, light-straw body rests beneath a thin lid of bright white foam that dissipates shortly and leaves only minor splashes of lace about the glass. Some light grainy malt appears in the nose, but little else. In the mouth, it's medium-light bodied with a brisk carbonation that leaves delicate zest on the tongue. The flavor delivers a subtly sweet and lightly grainy malt backed by a minimal bitterness; yet it still finds a way to finish short and dry. It's crisp and refreshing with a low alcohol (3.6%) that lends itself to having more than one if so desired.
