On tap at in Malvern, that had a half inch head. Smell of bitter hop not unlike an ESB but smoother. Malt presence but not dominating. Smooth going down, fresh, crisp.
I'd drink this no problem if someone had a kegger goin on.
Session ale for football games.

Appearance: a dark orange almost copper in color. A 1" head creates a thick lace on the glass.
Smell: not much aroma here, just a hint of bitterness.
Taste: strong bitterness is what is first noticeable. 45 IBUs is listed on the menu. Caramel, mild fruity sweetness, hint of grapefruit citrus, and a overall dryness rounds it out.
Mouthfeel: crisp throughout. Medium bodied. Aftertaste is long on the bitterness and dryness.
Drinkability: another easy to drink beer at McKenzie's, a clear session ale. The stronger bitterness here keeps it interesting. Must have if available.

This beer came a simple brown amber with a chunky collar of head that left some great lace.
Smells of an apple juice sweetness with a little orange rind and cedar.
Tastes of honey and orange sweetness with a piney dryness. This gets more woody in the finish and dries my mouth out quite a bit. Ouch!
The mouth feel is dense but very smooth and clean with a light carbonation. Again, it feels exceptionally dry in the finish.
This is a good beer but the finish was a little much for me. Another sip helped reset things a bit, but it was always followed by a thorough drying. It was intensely dry, but for the most part it wasnt that bad.
