Quite unusual for a McKenzie's beer, the English Pale Ale appears to be unfiltered. It's hazy orange-amber body glows gently beneath a short head of thin white foam that settles shortly leaving behind only an average collar and minimal lacing. (Dirty glass perhaps? At the very least, not beer clean). It's brewed with three English hops and fermented with an English yeast strain. The hops dominate in the nose, and it's grassy with a touch of lemon. Some yeasty fruitiness makes it's way through, and it's supported by a delicate note of caramel from the malt. 25 bitterness units back it up, and it's fairly solid. It's well-balanced, and with the exception of a bit of a lean towards the hops in the nose, well-rounded - and I'd imagine it if was served at the proper temperature to begin with, it might even be more so. A very nice, quaffable pint!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
