On tap at McKenzie Malvern location on 3/1/08.
A - Slightly hazy pale amber body with diminutive head that quickly disolved into a thin, white film and left only minimal lacing. Modest amount of carbonation.
S - Fruity citrus nose with primarily orange and lemon and some flowery hop attributes, as well as a bit of spicy Belgian yeast. Some mild bready malt as well.
T - Spicy and yeasty underlying flavor with a pretty ample citrus hop bite. Hops kind of clash with the spicy yeast, creating two distinct flavors rather than one uniform taste. Finish has a citrus zing paired with a slight burnt malt flavor.
M - Medium body with fairly creamy txture and soft carbonation. Mild effervescence on the palate. Moderate hop bite with an average duration.
D - Decent offering from McKenzie. Good attempt at the style. Glad to see more brewpubs are brewing Belgian IPAs now. A little bit of a clash in flavors but otherwise a pretty tasty brew.
