Pours a hazy amber tinted gold, moderate cap of white head, gone quickly, good sticky lacing. Scent packs quite a punch of bitter hops - floral leads with strong grapefruit rind and tangerine, little malt to this one. First sip is quit ebitter and pungent, grapefruit rind forward, mellowing into a blend of floral and tangerine. backbone has a touch of faint grahmn cracker sweetness. Medium bodied, dry finnish, bitterness lingers on the tongue. Quite the suprise after sampling a few other McKenzie beers where "approchable" and "drinkable" were the biggest descriptors. Solid hop profile with maybe a touch more malt needed.

On tap at the Glen Mills location, 5/20/11.

A-Pours a very hazy golden with a bit of honey highlights. A thin white head settles quickly to a pool, no lacing.

S-Mmmm, citrus. Grapefruit, grapefuit rind, juicy orange, fruity and bitter.

T-A little bot of tangering sweetness in the front, the great bitter grapefruit and orange rind but still some detectable sweetness. Delicious.

M-Medium bodied, full flavored, crisp, dry.

O-Excellent. Up there with the best local DIPAs (Hop'solutely and Iron Hill Perfect 10 are others), all of which can stand up to the best of the style.
