I decided to take this Pizzeria Uno beer home in one of their 64 oz. growlers. This is one of their year round brews.
When poured into a Sly Fox Imperial pint glass, this Red Ale was a cranberry red color. On top of this red beer was a 3/4 of an inch head of foam. In the beginning the head of foam had a small tint of red in it, but as it warmed up, the red left and white took over. This head of foam had good retention that left behind a spotty film, foamy rings, and about 2 spots of lace. The aroma was light, too sweet, and lightly toasted with toasted malts, a splash of milk chocolate, and a hint of burnt coffee at the end. The taste was a bit on the sweet side with yeast, toasted malts, and some regular bitter hops at the end. The taste was really nothing special and average all the way. The mouthfeel was light and the aftertaste was almost nonexistent. All I found in the aftertaste was just a tiny hint of bitter floral hops. There was almost nothing there. In the end, it's really nothing special. I guess not all of them can be winners.

Shaker pint glass served with dinner.
A - A nice red color with a fiery orange look. Head was thin but a capper stuck on the beer. Nice look.
S - Faint smell of some malts but mostly just a clean smell.
T - A nice beer, not full of flavor but a good little malt taste witha bit of graininess backed by a tiny hop flavor.
M - A light bodied brew, clearly made as a session beer.
D - Very easily drinkable. Good for a session beer, not a ton going on but definitely easy to quaff multiple servings.

From growler that I purchased last night.Poured light orangish-red - quite transparent - virtually no head - slight lacing. The smell was thin - nothing bad at all - just thin - slight caramel aroma. The taste was a bit thin - not bad though - just not much to it. What little taste it had though was pretty good. It was like caramel, but not too sweet. Some hints of hops in background to offset sweetness. The mouthfeel was buttery smooth. Refreshing. It's drinkable - mainly because of the lack of anything offensive - but not complex and nothing really outstanding.
Edit: I had this again on 5/19/08:
MUCH better! The citric/piney hops stayed almost even with a caramelish quality called for per style. A hoppier red ale. Nicely balanced, smooth and very drinkable! Scores edited to show improvement (over average-ish scores I had previously given it.)

Appearance: Not quite a red ale... more caramel amber in color. Average for the style.
Smell: Slight sweetness in the nose; a cross of the malts and hops. Decent.
Taste/Mouthfeel/Drinkability: Lots of toasted malts, not as sweet as I would expect from this style. Mouthfeel is ok, drinkability is ok. An average offering.

Amber in color with a 1/2" head. Thick lacing develops during the session. The aroma is of light carmel. The flavor contains caramel, fruit, sweet malt, and a mild bitterness. All flavors are simple and nicely balanced.
The mouthfeel is smooth at the start and finish, with a mild caramel flavored finish. Drinkability is nice, but overall this red could use a bit more maltiness.

This brew pours a dark amber color with a medium thin off-white head. Thin and slow lacing. The aroma is mild hops. Medium-bodied with a nice hops flavor and a fair malt backbone. Has a somewhat bitter finish. This was a good beer to go with their food.
