Pours hazed (because of cask - the non-cask is clear) reddish orange amber with a thin white head that lasts for some time before becoming a wide, lasting patch.
The smell is of carmelized grain with balancing earthiness. The aroma is spot-on for style.
The taste is of carmelized grain with earthy balance. It has a balanced sweetish finish.
It has a creamy medium body. A perfect carbonation level gives it an incredible smoothness.
This is at 7% abv, yet incredibly well-covered...would not have known. Also, this is an ale...yet - tastes and drinks like a lager. Great job with this one - Highly recommended!

Clear dark amber in color with a nice 1.5" head. Nice lacing develops as you drink this. The aroma is of light caramel and fruit, with a bit of roastiness. The flavor is simple and much more pronounced as the lightly roasted malt and caramel tones are strong and up front, while some mild bitterness and a hint of nut rounds out the flavor.
This brew is lightly crisp at the start, with a smooth finish sporting the caramel and roasted malt tones. Very drinkable as several of these can be quaffed in a sitting.
