Pours deep brown with a thin head that becomes a patch.
The smell is of dark malt, caramel, chocolate, underlying fruitiness/nuttiness.
The taste is of roasted dark malt - chocolate, caramel. Coffee bitterness balances out the sweetness. Underlying dark fruitiness with a touch of nuts in the finish. Finishes bittersweet with a certain woody dryness. Robust for the style.
Creamy and buttery smooth in a medium body.
It's easy to drink, glides down the throat leaving plenty of flavors in the mouth. Refreshingly dry. Tasty.
Had on cask for a special event, but it's available as a new rotating release non-cask.
