Copenhagen 1/9 2020. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Søtorvet, Silkeborg. Bøllingsø Brewery’s usual design in orange and deep yellow.

Pours unclear, golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet lemonade-ish odor and a metallic streak of alcohol. Citrus and white sugar. Sweet oranges. Light grainy sourness.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, smooth, a bit flat texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a lighter sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit. Lightly boozy finish.

Not much resemblance to a Belgian Tripel - but ok boozy, Danish strong beer.

500 ml bottle, from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. ABV is 7.4%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Spicy, yeasty and fruity aroma, hints of oranges and coriander. The flavour is medium sweet (maybe a tad too sweet), spicy and fruity notes again, hints of alcohol. Moderate hops. Fairly decent, but not the best triple in the world.
