Copenhagen 27/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Søtorvet, Silkeborg. Bøllingsø Brewery’s usual design in blue and grey. The version I am drinking has a ABV of 7,0.
Pours murky dark amber with a red hue. Settles as 1 cm thick, frothy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong, sugary sweet odor with a light sourish, chemical scent rummaging in the background. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Leather and tobacco. Sourish grains.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a sugary touch. Lingers for a while. Lightly boozy finish.
Quite sweetened malty - and with a nice touch of alcohol.
