Copenhagen 2/8 2020. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Søtorvet, Silkeborg. Brown version of Bøllingsø’s usual design with two golden “B”’s intertwined.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness of a candy-like character. Brown sugar, dark malts, dark chocolate. Sweet Coca Cola.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Sweet finish.
A bit thin and not particularly interesting. Quite cute that they quote the definition of Porter from Wikipedia on the label.
