With strawberry flavor. Really good for dessert and not so much with a red steak. Or just when you want a light beer.

Copenhagen 6/9 2020. 50 cl bottle from the shop at Silkeborg Museum (part of a gift box I gave to myself). Label in Bøllingsø's usual design with the intertwining B's this time in a pink version.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a medium-sized, white head. Fairly stable. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a fruity, candy-like sweetness and chemical notes. Sugar-laced strawberry, mingling with sweet pale malts. Smoothie-like. Sweet cough drops. rhubarbs.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, tingling - almost fizzy - texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweetish and lingers shortly. Finish is watery.
Bøllingsø Brewery seems quite preoccupied with bog bodies found in different moors and bogs around Denmark. They have named several beers after this rather gruesome remnants of the past. But I wonder why the Tollund Man got an ESB while the Elling woman got a pinkish strawberry beer. Tsk. A rather fresh and enjoyable Strawberry beer when it comes to that.
