341mL bottle poured into a tulip glass
A: Uh-oh. Half a finger of head from a vigorous pour. Light copper in colour with a thin layer of off-white head that disappears very quickly. After a couple of sips only a tiny ring of head remains where the surface of the beer touches the glass. Isn't wheat supposed to enhance head retention?
S: Hops spiciness dominates the nose. There is some citrus lurking in the background.
T: Not quite what I was expecting from the smell. Quite a bit of peppery spiciness up front. Some caramel flavours come through after the initial spiciness. Moderate bitterness and some floral hop flavour towards the back end.
F: The carbonation is medium-low. A very light tingly sensation when held under the tongue. Leaning towards the thin side but by no means watery. The finish is quite bitter but not harsh.
O: Apart from the appearance, this is a decent offering.
