Pours a cloudy orange. Decent head that settles very slowly. A cross between a blanket and ring creates the lace.
This may be the very best smelling beer I've ever had. Complex hops, great malt base. In the background, a touch mango. Initially, I thought I smelled ginger, but now I don't pick it up.
A smooth and malty start but this gives way to a hoppy transition that is neither overdone nor simple. Complexity defines this beer. The body is full and the carbonation is quite low. The aftertaste is remiscent of white pepper. There's no notable alcohol.

Bomber from a generous individual, enjoyed at a beer tasting.
Poured into a goblet. Deep copper-amber, with a half inch of head that receded into a thick ring. Some lacing.
Nose is a whole heap o' hops - notes of citrus, mango, spice (not necessarily ginger, but not entirely unlike ginger), pine, earth, caramel and sugar.
A terrific double IPA, that holds true to its 15 hop varieties. One that stuck out for me was the Simcoe, which gave the brew the flavor of overripe mango and banana. Bitter all the way through, but with enough complexity to pick out individual flavours. Alcohol is well-masked. Slightly creamy, good complexity.
Great DIPA, rich and flavorful, and boasting that well-hopped goodness that really should accompany a brew of this style. If anything, there is too much going on, but meh, I'm enjoying this too much to care. Great brew - congrats to Garrison for 15 great years!

Undated 500 mL bottle received in trade via mmurphy525, thanks! Poured cool for #IPADay into a tulip.
Super hazy orange beer with a large tan head and giant lacing. Great looking beer. Aroma is pungent with hops. Incredibly fruity with grapefruit, lemon rind, mango & passion fruit coming through. As time passes some of the finger and a piney nature also play into the nose. The beer has a ton of hop flavour going on too with the mango and ginger coming through as it warms. Biting bitterness that covers any hit of sweetness or maltiness in the beer. This is my type of IPA. Pungent and hoppy, the first Garrison beer that has knocked my socks off!

Fresh bottle from the Brewery.
A: Golden-bronze with a slightly off-white head, good retention, great lace.
S: Wonderful dank hop aroma with underlying mango & ginger.
T: Citrus rind, dried tropical fruit (mango, papaya and hints of pineapple), steelie grass and herbal hops, underlying sponge toffee, but it's really about the hops. Solid bitterness; alcohol is extremely well-hidden.
M: Well-attenuated moderate body has a light hop acidity, modest carbonation and a slightly drying finish.
O: Extremely well-crafted with plenty of depth to the flavour, which achieves harmony.
15 years and going strong... Definitely one of Canada's best. What a way to celebrate.
