Black with an immense head that foamed over. Boozy in the smell and the taste. Very roasted, some burnt parts. A very black beer, some maple. Smooth, Buttery mouthfeel and butterscotch , but perhaps some infection. 500 ml. bottle is more than enough for two people. So-so drinkability, but has potential if edges smoothed out.Jason's bottle.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of caramelized malt with nice toffee notes and some hoppy notes. Taste is also a nice mix between some caramelized malt with notes of toffee with a sweet rich malt base with a surprisingly hoppy finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed with an interesting hoppy finish which is not usual for the style.
