Pour is thin-looking, producing a hazy straw-coloured body and an airy head which quickly disappears. No lacing. The head could use some improvement.
Lavender is immediately noticeable on the nose, joining an otherwise identifiable but mineral-heavy wit. Coriander and nutmeg, citrus zest, candy malt and floral hops round it out.
Lavender is again well-featured in the mouth. Up front in presence but not over the top. Well balanced and flavourful with a spicing similar to what you usually find in a pumpkin beer: nutmeg, cinnamon, touch of cloves; the yeast and wheat do distinguish it as a wit however. The hops present subtle flowers and a strong note of white pepper. Slightly soapy.
Definitely too thin in body. Carbonation is light but prickly. This feel doesn't suit the beer too well.
Interesting, well-balanced and flavourful. I only wish the appearance and mouthfeel could be improved, in which case this would be a pretty great beer.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color ale with white haze and a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of lavender and coriander with refreshing wheat malt and light orange peel notes. Taste is also a refreshing and complex mix of lavender and coriander with notes of orange peel with some super solid wheat malt. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Very well brewed with great drinkability and some very nice complexity.

Bottle at Mondiale 2011. This beer was brought out on the last day and got lost in the shuffle, noone ordering it. Decent looking unfiltered blonde beer, nice retention of head and some lace floral novelty. Easy mouthfeel, some yeast, unique tastes tasty, not bad one.
