Brewed by South African brewers Messrs Standeaven at Caledonian for recent Wetherspoons festival. I had a half pint at the 'spoons in Anniesland. It had a light copper colour and a whit ehead which didn't stick around for very long. It smelled of brown bread (OK) and stale biscuits (offputting). No fruit was apparent in the nose, but it did taste fruity to start. However, a bready, biscuity taste dominates, making this quite hard work. It finished with decent bitterness. Lots of carbonation for a cask ale. Notes reiterate very bready.
