Tasted by a half-pint at the Moon under Water, a JDW pub at Leicester Sq., Central London. Hand-pulled w/o a sparkler.
A: dark golden in colour, with an off-white creamy head fed by very fine, micro-scopic fizziness.
S: weird... a semi-stinky touch of overripe banana skins and sour-sweet creamy and buttery note...
T: banoffee-pie upfront, followed by maltiness and cherry-like sour fruitiness... grassy, dry-ish hoppiness with a rather chewy bitter edge prevails in the aftertaste, where as water-biscuits' bitter-sweet edge also lingers.
M&D: refreshing and light on the texture; while the hop bitterness is very welcome in this otherwise very sweet ale, the overall flavour is awkward and shows no balance... more an intriguing ale than a delicious or quaffable one.
