Clear gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Trace of bubbpegum esters amid the mildly sweet malts. Tangy fruits. Dry floral, mildly bitter. Light dry finish.

Pours a deep amber colour with a huge, foamy white that has excellent retention and lots of white lacing left on the glass as well.
Quite a sweet aroma, even for the style with a mix of butterscotch and vanilla firstly, followed by some sweet malts and buttery aroma. There is some lighter hops and a hint of fruit.
Quite sweet and buttery like the taste with some sweet malts, toffee and some light hops as well. There is some vanilla and unspecific fruit flavours as well as some bitterness but overall it is a fairly standard pale ale taste.
Probably medium bodied, bordering on thick with a dry and creamy feel. There is low to mild carbonation and a mildly bitter finish.
Not a bad pale ale, not one of the best and certainly not as good as a bottle of original Deuchars either but still a nice tasting and pretty well balanced beer that went down easily enough. The taste was maybe slightly too basic but with not a lot going on other than the vanilla but it was drinkable.
