Pours a cloudy, maize color. One inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong citrus, yeast, sweet malt, wheat, sight alcohol, hint of liquor, hint of floral, hint of spice, and a hint of hop. Fits the style of a Saison / Farmhouse Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. Tastes of citrus, yeast, hint of hop, wheat, floral notes, hint of alcohol, and sweet malt. Overall, good appearance, aroma, body, but the overly carbonated feel hurts the blend significantly.

Just got back from a long roadtrip. Time to relax and have some R&R before work tomorrow.
A : A hazy halved pear color, about 60% opaque. The head is frothy and large, white in color and stands at about 3 fingers. It stays for pretty much the whole review, giving me a beer mustache.
S : Yeasty, estery zing right off the bat, with hints of banana, clove, and definitely a barrel aged something. A little bit of lime fruit loop (cereal grains, fruity esters). A soft moldy wheat aroma also accompanies the nose. A fairly loud (and proud) profile for a Saison.
T/F : Pale hops hit first with a rush of bubble gum and white zinfandel. A sparkling quality accompanies it bleeding into the mouthfeel and giving it a virulent pop. The flavor stays fairly 2D however, as the flipside of this coin is purely water. Flavor on one side, quickly diminishes and evaporates into a watery finish.
O : It's decent but not outstanding. I'd have it again because I like farmhouse ales. Whether I'll shell out the $1.49 again for it...hmm... maybe to complete a six pack. I'll have to think on this one.

This is a great saison and the barrel aging enhance the overall aroma and flavor. Great spring offering.
