Pours a clear straw color with a finger and a half of white foam on top. Fair head retention with no lacing left behind. Aroma is oak, and cherry with a sour funk to it. Flavor profile is oak, cherry, and apple. There is a sour funk to it that gets more and more sour as the beer warms on the palate. Mouth feel is fizzy, with a medium-thin thickness. Overall, a simple drinking, sour, funky beer. It drinks small, as the 3.5% ABV would suggest.
Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz bottle.

A very hazy golden gummy bear color with a diminishing white cap that stays at about 1/2 finger and leaves lace behind.
Not much here on the nose except for faint Cabernet, some fruit skins, and golden malts.
Flavors of crushed smarties, limes, globe grape skins, sweet tarts, lemon, and sea salt. The cabernet serves to compliment, not overwhelm, the overall profile. Incredibly tart.
Feel is super electric...just alive, like a shock tart. If you leave it on the palate, it's like pop rocks. What's even more interesting is the merlot-like coating it leaves after the swallow.
Overall, pretty interesting for a Berliner - a style that's not particularly interesting in itself. Nice twist. Just not real memorable is all. They have easily put out better Carpe Brew'Em stuff.
