This beer pours a hazy gold into a pint glass. A straw yellow head; moderate lacing. The aroma doesn’t present much in the way of…anything - just the faint hints of grassy hops and generalized citrus. Fortunately, the taste has a bit more going for it - an herbal bitterness that’s somewhat offset from the mango, combined with the distinct, slightly candy-like esters from Empyrean’s house yeast strain. Light mouthfeel and finishes with lingering herbs.

Poured into a tulip.
Pours a nearly cloudy hazy medium gold with a nice soapy foamy head that lingers well. Good lacing. Good-looking brew in the abstract, although probably too murky for the style.
Aromas of ruby red grapefruit and guava. Mild but nice.
Not sweet at all (and that's a nice surprise) on the tip of the tongue. Well balanced pulpy red grapefruit and guava flavors. In midstream, some pear and strawberry sweetness arrives, blended with some clean grain goodness. The brew closes with mild but apparent soapy/grassy hops. One of the better-balanced beers I've had with a fruit in the name.
Maybe a touch lighter than medium in body. Well carbonated, slightly drying at the finish and very drinkable.
Another better-than-solid Empyrean brew--maybe my favorite, at least in recent memory. Very flavorful, but restrained and balanced as required by the style. The best part was the distinct guava presence without being too sweet.
