Festivale (Winter Ale) really did not wow me much. It is a fine, perfectly enjoyable light winter beer. As for taste, it has a nice array of spice, some malt (for a solid foundation), and the faintest of hops. The cloves on the palate seemed so cliché, so average
it did nothing for me. The beer was served chestnut brown, translucent, with a white wispy head, it did not hold for long, no lace, just foam around the edge of the glass. The smooth, creaminess of the mouthfeel was welcomed. The nose was weak, some clove, malt, and faint hops. All in all, this winter beer was above average but it did not jump out at me, this maybe contradictory but I would recommend it.
