I thought the Trail Head Nut Brown was one of the best Brown Ales I have had. The beer poured a medium brown color with thin off-white head that laced. The scent included roastyed nut with sweet caramel. The tasted included sweet malt and caramel with rosted nuts. The mouthfeel was very good, medium to light body with decent carbonation. Overall, the beer was excellent....maybe on the sweet side for sum...but I think it was great.

A: Medium brown color with thin off-white head that is short lived.
S: Nutty aroma with sweet caramel.
T: Sweet malt and caramel with nutty notes.
M: Smooth light to medium bodied with mild carbonation.
O: Nice brown ale with nut and sweet flavors blending well. Enjoyed it and would have another.

I did the Sample Pack of the 5 normal beers they have on Tap.. They normally have 6 all the time on Tap beers... 1 was out so they gave me the Seasonal in place of it...

Each sample was 3 or 4 oz.... So this will be a quick review.

A: Reddish Brown in color, very nice for the brew... another beer that is a little on the cloudy side. Little to no head or lacing

S: Very nice malt, caramel, little chocolate and a little nuts...No strong, but just enough to register.

T: Just like a Brown.... all the smells are there. The overall taste is not over bearing... It is well balanced.

M: Med bodied, smoothness but not creamy.... just a little light for the style...

D: It is hard to tell with only 3 or 4 oz... This is one of my favorites so far.... I will be ordering more of this one.

While it is not the best Brown I've every had it is pretty good ....
