This place has an excellent brewer (Joe Rogers I believe). His beers are always fresh and very clean. The atmosphere missed out on a 5/5 because the LIVE JAZZ was a bit too loud. If you are in the area and like English beers, stop in and see what he has on tap. The selection was limited to 4 beers but that's also what keeps it fresh. There was an excellent IPA with a nice Fuggles aroma, a Robust Porter that was outstanding - very smooth. He also had a scotch ale and a honey wheat - I did not smaple the last two.
I had to work to get to the bar to get a beer, but once I made it there the bartender was quick to serve me. I did not eat on this occasion but have in the past and the food was top-notch. Soon to be named as one of NY's best brewpubs.
