Quite fruity nose and the same burst of a fruity bouquet at the start of itÂ’s tart flavor.

This beer has a non filtered; amber color consistency.

Along with its fruity flavored start, it produces a long finish; but with a light note as it dissipated on my palate.

The beer has a definite pale ale body; very nice and intriguing pale ale beer... I would drink more without giving it a second thought.

I had this on tap at a Reading Phillies game (It was the only decent beer in the stadium: they get too much $ from Coors). The beer is a cloudy, golden color. There is a fair amount of head. Decent nose of hops and a little spiciness. Decent balance of the malts and hops, with perhaps a tad too much hops for the style. Overall, not a bad beer at all!

The Fancy Pants Extra Pale Ale poured a surprisingly dark amber, almost purple in appearance. A nice fluffy head topped my glass, and dizzying carbonation plowed its way to the top. A strong hop bouquet and fruitiness dominated the smell, and some hints of banana were also apparent. The taste did not disappoint these hop expectations, either. Some smooth maltiness was apparent at first, but the hops quickly took over and the bitterness dominated. Very satisfying, yet achingly bitter. The mouthfeel was a bit heavier than expected, very creamy and filling. The bitterness was quite physically noticeable on the tongue, along wtih the aggressive carbonation. This was a wonderful pale ale, and the complex fruity esthers really were a treat. Fancy Pants brews continue to be increasingly available in Eastern PA and the neighboring states, and the Extra Pale is a great example of their fine line.
