It's very representative of the style, or at least the few examples of this style that I've actually tried. Quite malty, slightly brown ale-like, not a lot of hops, pretty typically mild. I am not sure that my taste buds are tuned well enough to truly tell the difference between this beer and certain brown ales that I've had, so that should further explain this brew.
Always love that Freetail has multiple session ales available (or close enough, which is good enough for me, as I don't want to haggle over what constitutes a session ale. besides, in the US this IS a session ale if such a thing exists).
