Easy pour. Golden head. Taste is sweet but not overpowering. Hops are also apparent, but down smooth.

a basic blonde ale here, but it tastes and feels a little maltier than many of its peers, has some body and some sweetness to it despite being pale in color and relatively light looking. doesnt hold its head great from the tap, and has a sort of corny taste to it, a honey sweetness, and some cerealy depth not common in the style. i like it best when its frosty cold from the tap, when it warms up even a little bit it heavies and falls apart for me, losing any refreshment value and tasting a bit muddled. i think with some of their other lighter beers being so well known and well made, that this one doesnt really distinguish itself in any real positive way, i prefer their helles myself, and imagine most beer drinkers would in a side by side with this one. still, freetail is cool, they are making some great beers, and its hard to be too critical of something like this thats objectively fine. its been a lot of fun to be able to check out both of their san antonio area spots the last few days!
