A - Body is copper in color and slightly cloudy. Pours with a generous off-white head that leaves a modest amount of lacing.
S - Grassy and earthy hop notes dominate with a touch of citrus coming through as well. Some caramel malt sweetness lingers in the background.
T - Hop flavors are very earthy with a touch of grapefruit coming through as well. All-in-all, the flavor profile seems a bit one-dimensional. Bitterness is assertive without being overbearing. A solid malt backbone keeps it well-balanced. The hops leave a fairly bold mineral-like aftertaste on the palate.
M - Starts off a bit light, becoming more medium-bodied as it warms. Finishes clean.
D - I prefer the Tadarida IPA over this one. Like Tadarida, they avoided the typical citrus and pine notes that are far too common in American IPAs. However, this one seems to lack the depth that Tadarida has. That being said, it's very easy to drink and fairly enjoyable.
