Sampled on tap at the Freetail-Real Ale barrel-aged festival in San Antonio.
The beer pours a hazy brown-orange color with a white head. The aroma is grain and wheat with some citrus notes. The flavor is oranges, wheat and grain - which is guess is the Buckwheat coming through. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A nice beer, just nothing too exciting.

This is a Belgian Style Witbier brewed with buckwheat, served on tap at the brewpub in San Antonio.
Pours a dark amber/chestnut brown color with golden orange hues when held to a light source and a 1.5 finger foam head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. Minimal spots of lacing left behind.
Earthy aroma with subtle spiciness and citrus fruit but the dark wheat is most prominent. This beer is very unique and the nose is pretty interesting. I'm not very familiar with buckwheat and the nose on this beer is pretty odd.
Spicy medium body with bready yeast that adds fullness to the body along with more of the odd earthiness from the aroma. Hints of sweet alcohol in the dry finish. Again, the buckwheat used in this beer is very odd. A lot of the spiciness and yeasty notes typical in this style are overpowered by the dark wheat. It's kind of difficult to explain what this beer tastes like. Interesting but not something I would go for again.
