Part of their 5g series. It's Witicus aged on sour cherries. Poured into a sniffer.
Appearance: Deep dark red with a pink/ red head about a finger thick that fades into a thin lacing and clings to the side of the glass.
Aroma: Sour cherry notes with a hint of lemon citrus and clove with a touch of yeastiness.
Taste: Slight tart sourness upfront with a subtle taste of cherries and the background of the regular Witicus.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light body with high carbonation, very spritzy and refreshing. There is a lingering cherry taste on the finish.
Overall: I enjoyed this variation much more then I did the regular version. The cherry was very well integrated and was not overly sweet. The slight tartness made it seem more like a wild ale then a cherry wit.
