Poured into a pint glass and dry hopped with cascade hops.
Appearance: Pours golden-orange with a white head about a finger thick and clings to the side of the glass. The beer is clear and has the bubbles suspended around the top, which soon fade out.
Aroma: Big fruit, citrus and pine aromas from the dry hopping with a slight malty aroma peaking through. I definitely prefer the dry-hopped aroma to the original, but then again I am a hop head.
Taste: Slightly piney and fruity with a nice malt backbone to round everything off.
Mouthfeel: At first there is low carbonation and then it fades to zero carbonation, such is the nature of cask ales. It has a medium body and a dry finish.
Overall: I like their regular paletail and it has recently become my go-to beer when I go to Freetail and they don’t have anything new, which is not that often. Personally I really liked the dry-hopping addition and liked the aroma it provided.
