This beer is brewed with chamomile, hibiscus and spirulina.
On tap at Freetail shortly after the La Muerta bottle release. This is my 50th beer from Freetail.
The beer pours an amber color with a white head, which is a little disappointing because when I heard spirulina was in the beer I was thinking it would be green.
The aroma is fairly basic with a little bit of grain and some floral and fruity notes. The flavor is more of the same. I get some biscuit malt as well as some flowers. I don't get any of the spirulina notes that I have gotten in other Freetail beers that are brewed using the algae. Not really sure what is going on in the beer, but nothing really stands out and the beer is not too exciting. That being said, there is nothing offensive about the beer and it was not tough to drink.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
