From our Single Hop IPA series. This India Pale Ale features Falconer’s Flight, a proprietary blend of some of the Pacific Northwest’s best hops, developed by Hopunion, LLC to honor and support the legacy of late Northwest brewing legend Glen Hay Falconer. Each hop in the blend was hand selected for its superior aromatic qualities, imparting distinct tropical, citrus, floral, lemon & grapefruit tones. Hopunion is contributing proceeds from each Falconer’s Flight purchase to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, which provides scholarships in brewing education. Many thanks to Hopunion and the Foundation for their continued support of American Craft Brewing. Ingredients: Maris Otter, crystal & kiln Amber malts; Falconer’s Flight hops; top-fermenting yeast; natural, limestone-filtered, Edwards Aquifer H2O; Gratitude

With the name "Velocihoptor" I would expect more....
For starters this thing was a gusher, over carbonated may be an understatement.
Had some oxidation going, maybe the start of an infection.Slight fruity off flovar

The beer poured a golden amber with a huge fluffy white head. I detected tropical fruit with citrus notes in the aroma with some slight floral hops as well. The taste starts with a huge juicy tropical citrus hop bitterness that take over your palate then transforms into a fruity floral bitterness that coats your tongue. The Velocihoptor is a very well balance IPA that takes you on a perfect hop journey and ends with a nice dry finish.

Appearance: Murky amber glass holds a thin white cover that doesn't give much lace.
Smell: Lightly leafy hop, earthy hop, but still American some how. A good bready base gives a fresh and inviting smell.
Taste: A lighter IPA in terms of both hops and punch, but goes a bit oily and shows some backbone. Still ends up being a strong APA, but refreshing and clean.
Mouthfeel: Medium light body, mild carbonation, bit oily in the finish.
Overall: A refreshing interesting mix of hops that gives a great flavor at a milder pace. Good session, good growler fill.
