The last time I had a pint from this brewery was 40 years ago when it was one of the last remaing brew pubs in the UK.
Cask at The Boathouse Shrewsbury.
Light amber - close to copper colour. Light frothy head. Lacing apparent.
A malt and floral hop aroma.
Sweet - finishing bitter. Some caramel evident.
Smooth.

Tasted on cask at a Wetherspoons in Shrewsbury.
A golden bitter with a white, light head.
The aroma and taste lean towards maltiness, comprising nutty and coffee flavours, leading to an oak wood like esters. It has a spicy bitterness with a lingering finish.
Considering it is only 3.8% ABV the packs a lot of complex flavours and is an ideal session beer: like so many well crafted UK bitters.
