Golden and clear. Smallish head but it leaves a modest lattice of lace.

Freshly crushed hop cone smell. No yeast nor "Belgian" aromas, but it's still attractive.

The taste starts with the lightly toasted malt. The hop comes in with a straight up bittering bite. Again, I do not pick up on any of the Belgian elements. Spritzy with an average body. Lighter aftertaste although it does last.

This had weird flavors that neither hit West Coast IPA or Belgian IPA and seemed to veer into different territory altogether. Like a melon, watery feel, somewhat unwelcome funk that has no resemblance to that which you might find in beer.

Sampled at GABF 2015

L: Pours hazy golden color under a 1” sudsy cream colored foam collar that lightly laces the glass.
S: Toast, grapefruit and melon, slight Belgian yeast.
T: Melon flavors dominate with a hint of citrus and stone fruit and a little Belgian yeast action.
F: Medium carbonation, soft in the mouth, creamy, medium body.
O: A good, easy to drink beer. The hop character overpowers the Belgian yeasts some what.

On tap at the NOLA taproom

A: A hazy light golden with a one-finger off-white head. Nice retention and lacing.

S: Light Belgian yeast and grapefruit. Wheat.

T: This one comes on pretty weak. Didn't really pick up the hops at all. More of the Belgian blend of yeast and sweetness. Not very persuasive.

M: Light with low carbonation.

O: This one was just not hitting it for me. Kinda bland. Didn't perform well.
