Best by 4/17/19, purchased from Phillippe's Wine Cellar in Lafayette (the rest of this six pack is probably still there) - and had a wonderful conversation with a French-speaking man (the owner). It was life-changing. Vino is life apparently. To the French. lol.
Really deep black color with a tall creamy beige head of 1 finger, receding to a creamy ring but leaving lots of lace behind.
Aroma is slightly ashy, with some dark fruit and tobacco. Slight dark chocolate as well.
Flavor is like a porter version of TenFIDY. The body is quite a bit lighter than the flavor would suggest, which is weird. But it brings dark fruit, tobacco, salt, dark chocolate, fig, and molasses. It is definitely past its prime, but I can tell there's a lot of heft behind this beer.
Feel is on par for a porter, but again, the ying-yang doesn't quite match up because the flavor is so huge that you'd expect a bigger beer and you get water here. Has some moderate detectable alcohol heat and a quiet soft carbonation with a slick and roasty finish with lingering burning.
Overall not a bad beer. A good effort. One I probably wouldn't pick up again but if you're in the mood for a robust porter and not a stout, this one would do it. The most stout-like porter I've probably ever had.

On draft in a tulip glass. A nearly opaque dark chocolate color with a medium tan head. Nice lacing in the glass. Aroma was lots of milk chocolate with faint coffee and vanilla. The taste followed. I got more vanilla than I expected. Chocolate and roasted grain was there. A bit bigger than medium bodied. Overall a nice imp porter.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of chocolate, some coffee. Taste is of roasted malts, well, more like burnt malts. Alcohol is present, as well as some hints of coffee. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is decent, but I was expecting more.

Was extremely disappointed with this beer. Bought a six pack of cans and consumed by pouring into snifter. The beer had a clear off-taste, like it was very old, had some type of bacteria (etc), or had sanitary cleaner in it..
The color was fine (tough to get wrong), the smell was clearly off (not a traditional porter or stout smell), taste was also off (it sort of smelled and tasted like some type of cleaning solution or antiseptic was present), feel was not great but not as bad as it tasted or smelled.
I checked for an expatriation date and was unable to find it on any of the cans. I would not recommend this beer, nor will I buy a 6-pack of it again. If it was on tap somewhere, I might sample it just to determine if it was the beer or a bad batch that I got.

This is a straight up classic porter flavor with no crafty gimmicks. The imperial adds extra umph. Impressive.

Had it from tap. Deep dark brown with good head and nice lacing. Smell is strongly of coffee and dark chocolate, along with the taste. Also flavors of dark toast, vanilla and just a hint of bitterness. Great feel, very smooth. Would have again!

Prytania has a medium, beige head, a very dark brown appearance, ruby highlights, as the direct sun hits it, and a bit of glass lacing. Aroma is of rich, dark malt, dark chocolate, and black cherries. Taste is of dark-roasted, yet not burnt, malts, bread crust, a touch of char, semi-sweet chocolate, and some acrid bitterness. Mouthfeel is heavy, and Prytania finishes moderately sweet to dry.
