This wit beer is a delicious way to support helping families fighting pediatric brain cancer due to NOLA Brewing’s partnership with with Hogs for the Cause. Locally grown satsumas are peeled and dried for 3 months leading up to the production of this beer to get the unique citrus aroma, and then wit yeast and coriander to spice up the brew are added.

Hog Tied has a thick, creamy, slightly off-white head, a hazy, straw-gold appearance, with exuberant bubbles, splotchy lacing, and a descending gray-yellow cloud, following the swish & pour. Aroma is of banana, spiced white bread, bubble gum, and sugary syrup. Taste is the same, with a little zing, thrown in. Mouthfeel is fluffy and medium, and Hog Tied finishes mostly dry and mellow.

Had on tap @ Ole Saint. Pours hazy, yellow-orange in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is peaches apricot, and wheat. Light bodied and sweet. Slightly above average witbier. Might have this again or pass over it.
