Cask-conditioned one-off at the Crown & Anchor in Algier Point. $6 imperial pint.
A: Dark ruby brown. Very thin head that settles quickly into a still body of deep water.
S: Nutty like a brown. Hazlenuts. Maybe a whiff of chocolate malt. Not much hop aroma.
T: It's great. Hop character is bright and very similar to Hopitoulas, but the roasty chocolate character works beautifully with it.
M: I mean it's cask, so it's velvet.
O: Essentially a Brown IPA. Unique and nicely executed. Love it when NOLA expands things a bit.
